About Julia Tahnee Oscarson

As primarily an abstract painter, I am continuously exploring the depths of imagination and creativity through my work.
My paintings are an expression of my innermost thoughts and emotions, conveyed through a language of color, texture, and form.

Process

My process begins with an intuitive approach, allowing my subconscious to guide the flow of the brush movement and the application of paint. As the painting evolves, new possibilities emerge that I consider and pull forward or push back, creating a form without form appearance.

I like to play with familiarity in a hushed approach.
Each piece is a journey, a reflection of my state of mind in that moment. I often work on several paintings at once and begin with a single color or mark, allowing it to guide me as I layer and build upon it.

The resulting work is a multi-layered exploration, an abstract representation of the interplay between light and dark, chaos and order, movement and stillness.

I have maintained a long-standing passion for art and painting, since my youth
which has allowed my creative process and inspiration to develop and grow in its own unique stye and approach to painting.

Ultimately, my goal as an abstract artist is to create a space for contemplation and reflection, inviting the viewer to engage with the work on a personal level and connect with their own innermost landscape.
